Bothy: Cae Amos

Grid Ref: LR115: SH 517 455

Location: Wales

S Gilmore

Former hill farm occupied as a climbing club hut for approx. 50 years. Cae Amos is one of several former dwellings in the general area – please respect other buildings and occupiers.

No vehicle access – most approaches give a good prospect of wet feet!  Please note that approaching the bothy from Cwm Pennant in darkness could result in immersion in a bog- be careful!
The surrounding land continues to be active sheep pasture – dogs should be kept strictly under control at all times.

Very limited parking in Cwm Pennant – recommended nearest approach is from Garn Dolbenmaen to the west where there is a public car park. Other approaches offer attractive alternatives.

No fuel supply locally. Multi fuel stove.
