The bothy is just outside the MoD firing range and access through the range is closed when the range is in use, although the bothy can still be used. Firing times are displayed at Durness Post Office or can be obtained from Major (Retd) Phillip Curtis, Range Officer, 01971 511242 or 07773 395637 (not texts), phillip.curtis597@mod.gov.uk

Only driftwood may be available locally.
