The bothy is just outside the firing range, and access through the range is closed when the range is in use, although the bothy can still be used. Firing times are displayed at Durness PO or can be obtained from Major (Retd) Phillip Curtis, Range Officer, 01971 511242 or 07714 722056, The MoD insist that this is strictly a NO SMOKING bothy. Open fire. Cape Wrath Estate.
